When I began this series in August of last year, the intent was to bring practical information on saving historic architecture to those of us who care deeply about endangered properties but have no clue regarding where to begin, much less how to proceed from there. Very few of us have a background in preservation, and without that, navigating the landscape is difficult. It seemed to me that a roadmap for the rest of us was in order.
