“How do you find all of these places?”
Thus began my series, Insider’s Guide, which was launched in 2023 as a way of bringing inside tips on when, where and how to research, locate, visit, and photograph many of the places that have become your favorites through the years on Southern Voice.
Compiling my database of photographs has involved thousands of hours and many more thousands of miles spanning a decade of my life, which is why this series is made available only to paid subscribers. That will continue into 2024 and beyond. While I have freely shared the results of my work on Facebook and on this page, the inside knowledge of how I got there (and how you can as well) is another matter. As part of the extra content for paid subscribers, it is well worth the monthly price of admission, which is less than a Frosted Lemonade at Chick-Fil-A.
The coming year will offer more of the same. There are already at least a dozen new locations to add to the list. These include two in Georgia, four in North Carolina, two in South Carolina, and one each in Louisiana, Mississippi, Florida and Virginia. As time permits, there may even be more before year’s end.
In the meantime, for those of you who may have missed one or more of these posts, I am compiling the links to each here for your convenience, with my continued thanks for your support.
